The good news is that the primary trails used on game drives in Chobe really don’t need a map. The bad news is that the quality of easily acquired maps is poor. The attached image is a scan of the map provided by rangers at the Chobe Sedudu Gate entrance:

As you can see, those provided give gross mapping and some details such as locations of trees or better viewing areas. If you want a more details map, the best I have found so far is the Shell map. This map sells for about $15, but is hard to find. I found one in a gift shop in the downtown Kasane central square, across from the SPAR. A scan of the cover is shown:

Probably the most important section of the map is the part showing the waterfront (approximately the same area as shown in the Chobe NP map). A small portion of this is inserted below:

Below is a basic satelite link to google maps, At this zoom, the information is of limited value, but will give some feel for the run of the river. the river delta seen on the lower left is the Okavango. to the north is Nambia’s Caprive strip and further north is Zambia. The east of the map is Zimbabwe:

This is a “start” for getting map information to you on Chobe. Over time, we hope to improve this info including GPS information as well as noting specific locations within the park for good photos of landscapes, key trees, etc.
