Photo Tip: Spotting the action
Today’s tip is also a tale of two lenses. In the first picture, you see two young bull elephants play fighting for dominance. An okay picture, but the key was seeing the action and shooting this. By the way, this shot is at 235mm with a Canon 100-400mm zoom lens.

Now the tip: In the second shot, my son used a Sigma 10-20 photo to capture the scale of the entire setting. The shot below was at the exact same time as the prior shot. Can you see the action? or are you distracted by the many, many other elephants.

As you can see, there is a lot to select from. To make things easier, I have edited Justin’s shot to highlight the action. It is on the extreme left side of his frame.
