Mom and Babe - As Shot
vs. this version:

Mom and Babe with edit
There is a difference, though subtle. On Mom, we lowered the lighting just a bit on the body to try and separate the ear. The adjustment was made by “capturing the body” and creating a separate layer. Then the curve was slightly adjusted. Before flattening, a mask was added to blend the edges back in with the original. These little changes add up.
Photo Tip:
- When editing a monotone subject, make sure all body parts appropriately separate.
